Collection: Vintage Kantha Quilts

Kantha refers to the multiple rows of intricate running stitches that patch and hold two layers of cotton saris and sheets together. This age old form of up cycling was traditionally carried out by Bengali women who would mend worn fabrics.  Today as an act of female empowerment women breathe life into old textiles working in their own homes.  A series of quilts are hand sourced by a member of our Bless family in India before we do a final edit and curate a new series.  After being photographed on roof tops in Delhi the treasured quilts are pre washed before being shipped to our store in London.
